I am looking for direction on where I should begin to understand predictive analytics and how I could apply it to my QV applications. In my business we manufacture and sell products and my newbie understanding of predictive analytics is, you can apply certian statistical formulas to your data to make predictions on what the future trend will be based on the historical performance. But that is all I know, again I am a new at this. Is there anyone out there who could give me some guidance on where I should start to learn more about this? Can anyone suggest any books, seminars, training, or? Please let me know your thoughts.
