Fill Pattern on Bar and/or Pie charts

Hello,

Is it possible to change the fill pattern style for Bar and Pie charts expressions?

I've tried the Line Style, but it does not affect anything but lines width and style.

I could not find any other option in the chart properties to do that....

I need to have something like:

Properties->color->Select OnScreen and MultiColored option.

No, there's no such option (at least not in QV 10). You can set  the 'Use patterns Instead of Colors', but you have no control over which patterns are used.

Thanks for reply, but this solution will not work for me:

1. It converts chart to B/W (unless I am missing something, the "Multicolored" option is disabled for the Bar Chart properties) and it is not giving me an option to change filling style.

2. As you can see below it works for line filling (for Symbols), but not for the Bar chart

3. And I need to change colors dynamically, so I am using Background Color option in Expression, but not Colors dialog on the chart properties.

You can't select the pattern , but you can display the chart with stripes in it.. Please see the attached file...

Edit:

If you like to display with pattern in bar chart, please post a idea in qlikview community. So in future, they may be develop it..

Thanks, but as I've mentioned above, I need to have different Patterns for different Expressions, ideally with colored background. It's strange that this basic functionality is still not available in QV. I will send a proposal to include it into one of the next releases.

Hi,

Does anyone knows if defining patterns is still not possible? I saw the following tool from a QV partner so seems it is possible....

Also I wonder if there are patterns already created (when using patterns instead of colours option) then would it be possible to get the same logic/code and use it?
