External Users Viewing QlikView Through SharePoint ... HELP!!

Hi,

We are having significant difficulties launching QlikView within a SharePoint site for external clients.  We have a third party bolt-on product that does the authentication step and we cannot get this to talk to QlikView such that it allows users through.

The only suggestion we have been given, that will work, is to add external users to our internal active directory.  However, our infrastructure team have ruled this out as a possibility so I'm back to square one and can't get this resolved.

Is there anyone out there who can help?  I've tried two different partner companies already and they're both stumped!!

Many thanks,

Emma

What is your 3rd party authentication product? Does this product work for the rest of your SharePoint site?

Hi,

The 3rd Party company is called SharePoint Solutions and they're based in the States.  The product is called Extranet Collaboration Management 2010 and is working fine for the rest of the site.

The issue is all based around authentication and passing the user id through to QlikView in a recognisable format.

Thanks,

Emma

I wonder what your QlikView partners have tried so far.

From my perspective I have two questions:

Do you have any insights on how Extranet Collaboration Management 2010 passes userid to SharePoint? Is it through http header?

If it's not http header, Is there away to read the authenticated user id? If yes, maybe ticketing can be used.
