How to disable qlikview input box typing text.

Hallo, I am a new user of qlikview. I am developping a report for may Company. I use Input Boxes to select from a list of predefined values. All is OK. But I don't want users could type text in input box, but only select it from the list opened by clicking on the drop down icon. I want to disable qlikview input box typing text. Users could only click on dropdown arrow to select item from the list. I can i make it ? Can you help me ? Thank you.

Thank you for the reply, but the problem is not resolved. If I click on the dropdown value whit the mouse I can type it with keyboard and the dropdown arrow disappears. I attach an image to show my problem.InputBoxEditable.bmp

The problem is that the user is not expert of using computer. If user clicks on text, the dropdown arrow disappears and he can type text. The user gets angry and does not know what to do. If I explain it how to do

Why don't you use a listbox instead of an input box? If necessary you can use valuelist to fill it with the list of values you need. And you can make so that only one item at a time can be selected as well if that is a requirement. First select one item, then go to the properties screen and on the general tab select the option 'Always One Selected Value'

I have 7 input box and in the future we'll have more. Every one have over 30 items and in the future we'll have more. The problem is the space on the screen if I use ListBox.

Hi all

Is there any way of disable the typing when the object is double-clicked? I only want the drop-down selection without providing to the user the ability of edit the values of variables...

Best regards,
