accesspoint.aspx not accessible.

Hello All,

I am trying to use IIS as a web server rather than the QV web server. When I enter the URL http://localhost/QVAJAXZFC/AccessPointSettings.aspx  in the QV web server, it shows that qvws@localhost is down.  I also dont seem to find this accesspointsettings.aspx any where. I have even changed it to /accesspoint.aspx as I am using QV 11 and I can see a file named accesspoint.aspx but The QV server is still showing that QVWS@localhost is down. Can someone please guide me if I am making a mistake

also when I try to access http://localhost/QvAJAXZfc/AccessPoint.aspx  I get the error

TTP Error 404.0 - Not Found

The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable

Even if i try to browse this file from within QVAJAXZFC directory inside the website in IIS Manager, I still get the above error. All the rest of aspx and html pages are accessible if I try to browse them from within QVAJAXZFC directory

Regards

Arif

Sorry, I could never figure it out. I actually had some other tasks pending and I had to move on to them. However, I intend to get back to this in Jan 2013. Please update me if you are able to figure this out. This probably has something to do with http header thing. Fidler can send the user info in header and QV webserver accepts it. When we try to send the info in header from our .net web application, it does not work.

Sorry, actually I did not have to do anything. Just install QV server with IIS configuration and it should work. The only problem I had in the end was that it was working with fidler but not with our .net application. That was the thing that I was stuck in.

For QV server 11, you dont have to look for accesspoint.aspx or anything. The only thing you need to make sure is that qlikview setting service is running.

That should be it for the IIS thing. The other that is a pain is sending the info in header for asp.net thing

accesspointsettings.aspx doesn't exist in QV11 anymore, you should really check the QlikView Server Reference Manual.

There is a new service to handle all webserver configuring.

Hi Arif,

I am also using Qllikview 11 IIS server.

As you mension in the above post ,  that No need  to configure "accesspointsettings.aspx" in the web server., I dont configure it. its same as default.

But the Qlikview Web Server in down and the other server belongs to IIS is up and running.

1. I change user credential in Application Pool properties to the user account which belongs to Qlikview Administrator and IIS_WPG group

2. I check QVAJAX..  user credential in identify tab and its same user account as above.

3. .Net framework  4 used by qlikview iis server

4. fiddler is up and running

5. In filter tab I place the username of the above account.

6. I try to exeute http://localhost/qlikview.htm in  via fiddler .

When its open in IE its pop up log in dialog box which i am not  expected, I enter the user credential in order to open the Access point , dialog box diappears for new seconds and pop up again with the user credental, with out any changes.

could u please help me out to sort this issue.

thanks

You need to change the authentication method to use http header

Try just http://localhost/qlikview

This should get you to the AccessPoint
