Can I conditionally hide expression columns in a Pivot Table?

I see how to do it with a straight table but can't find a way to hide expression columns in a Pivot Table?

Thanks for any help!!

Hi,

It's only possible in QV 11.

In the expressions tab you can set the condition to hide/ show expressions.

You can check this behavior in the attachment. ( using QV11)

Hope this helps,

Erich

Thank you… we’ll be moving to QV 11 soon… in the meantime I do know I can make different versions of the whole table and hide/show the tables conditionally…

Nice example, but it's based on variable.

Is it possible to conditionally show/hide expression column based on the expand or collapse column?

i tried with dimentionality, but i have a total row on top.

Any idea?

For my purposes the problem was solved perfectly in version 11! You can define conditions for showing the dimensions and expressions… very cool ☺

Yes Karen.

But i'm trying to show says - Expression 1 when certain dimensions are expanded.

and expression 1 should be hidden when the dimension is in collapse.

I see… yeah, that’s a little trickier… I don’t have an answer for that…
