Container inside container not loading correctly

Dear all,

I have 3 container objects inside an other container, the first 3 are grids. Which are put into a container with tabs, so you have 3 tabs and on every tab you see different objects.

If I switch between tabs one or more off the objects are not loading, if I go back to the previous tab and then into the other tab again the most of the time do load, sometimes I have to go back and forth a few times for them to load.

Can someone help me why they sometimes don't load (is not always the case, other times they do load correctly in 1 go) and how I can fix this?

Regards,

Paul

What version are you working on? I had the same with an early QV10 version, but it got solved with the QV10 SR3 or SR4.

Thank you for your reply, I am working on Qlikview 11 so not sure if 11 has the same bug?

Note in release 11 R2 notes for bug fixes:

Plugin: Certain sheet objects almost disappear in container on clear/selection/resizing

Hi

A temporary fix whilst Qliktech resolve this is;

Once you have selected a label in the container, if all the data does not show, click on the container label again.

Be patient - if it does not refresh all the data, click it once again.

Repeat until all data is returned - usually 2-3 time

(do not just keep clicking  - it seems to cycle through showing differing amounts of data but eventually shows all data )

not ideal but it works

Thank you for your reply.

I already found this solution but unfortunatly my clients won't be happy with this answer. As you said not really ideal.

Hopefully Qlikview can solve this in the next release

Hi John,

Yes I noticed this one...

It also happens when you use a button to show and hide items (e.g. I had a menu built with containers) click once and the container doesn't work. Click again and a few items show, click again and they all show, click again and some hide.....

Also holds true if you switch to another tab and back again.

I am also with Paul on this, its not acceptable to us at the moment so I am totally avoiding the use of them

I'm having this same issue on v11.2 SR8. I had v10 SR3 previously and my colleague has v11 SR2 and both of those are fine. Is there any more updates on this?
