We had a similar problem when we installed ver 11 SR2 client and had ver 10 server. Uninstalling 11 and reinstalling 10 didn't work. We had to unistall 11, restore the system to a restore point before 11 was installed, and then reinstall 10.

QlikTech said that have v11 client and v10 server was a no-no.

I don't know if this is what you are experiencing or not.

We have v11SR2 on both client and server.

I can't find a way to prove it out by tying a QV Log with entry with the timing of event log entry ; however, it appears the IE plugin is not closing down properly but rather crashing when a session as timed out.  It then causes Internet Explorer to crash and write the above error to the windows application event log.

I have been able to recreate the crash by leaving a session open too long and then trying to do anything the document.
