pivot table selection should activate straight table

I have one pivot table and a straight table.....I want to show pivot table always....and make straight table to pop up based on pivot table selections........Thnx.....

I have pivot table in client level.....and when I select any client I have some expressions related to that client......so when they select that expression values I need a straight table to pop up with selected details.........

I got it from this link and its working fine But I am not clear how the below expression is evaluating......

isnull(Only(Field name))

I didn't get what is your requirement.bit cofusing.

=not isnull(Only(FieldName)) will return true or false

Only(FieldName) will return value if only one possible(or selected) value in that field otherwise it will return null value.

Thanks..I am using 2 text  objects with expressions

=only(Fieldname)

=Fieldname

Both text objects are displaying same result on selection.........So why should I go for Only again....Can you please give me difference....
