EDX Trigger activation from an AJAX QV Application

We want to be able to activate a trigger externally (EDX trigger) – ideally from a button within an online AJAX QV application.

We have reviewed various scripts but could not get them to work in the AJAX app.

If anyone has experience or just smarts about this issue we would really like to talk with you.
