Is it possible to change the background cell colors of a list box.

Yes, on the Presentation tab you can change the Background. You need to change the Selection Style Override to something other than Qlikview Classic or you won't see the change.

when we change style on presentation tab we can use LED or Checkboxes but how can we change colour of a cell??

It is possible only in version 10 onwards. Version 9 will not support it. Correct me if wrong.
