Default FYTD selection

Hi QlikViewers,

Am trying to accomplish a logic such that I am able to set the date range of Financial year to Date on document Open. So that all calculations are displaying data for the FYTD on document open and later on user can change the selections.

My Fiscal year start on 1 Nov. So if today is 23rd Jan 2013, I want the document to open with the date range selection of 1 Nov 2012 to 23rd jan 2013.

I read a few posts but they are setting variables on document open. I want to set the exact date ranges so that all formula calculations reflect that period automatically. Any ideas? I have my business date column and also have separate fields for FY month, year and quarter.

Just to clarify..I have attached a sample QVW with the excel data file. What I need is that when someone opens the document, by default the date range of 8/2/2012 till today is selected. I am trying a few stuff myself as well and will let know if any success.
