Simple But Strange Count

Hi All

I've attached a qvw wherein i'm trying to do a simple count in a straight table chart of job titles.  In the expression column i have =Count(job_title) which gives me 418.

However if i export the results to excel it seems to total 427 if i sum them up in excel?

I guess i'm missing something in Qlikview but i can't seem to figure out what?  Please see attached qvw.

Any ideas welcome

Many thanks

418 is not your total but it is your number of blank lines.

Get rid of blank lines in your data.

This answer is NOT correct.

This works but it is a bad practice to create a calculated dimension for this problem. Get ride of the problem in the loading process.

Thanks for the reply - you are absolutely correct.  i didn't realise some answers were blank.

You used the "Len()" function. It is perfect.

But, it would be much better to resolve the problem once for all in the script than to correct the blank line in every chart.
