QMS API to Enable/Disable Publisher Task

Hi all,

I have never used the API and must admit I am getting a little confused trying to follow all the posts in here.

I have a Publisher task set up that is a cyclic set of steps, i.e. 1 task runs, then 3 others kick off on successful completion of the first, then 2 more kick off on successful completion of the last 3, then the first one starts again as soon as the last 2 have completed.  So it is a continuous loop and works well.

The problem is I only want to start to start this cycle on completion of an external event and stop the cycle on completion of another external event.  I know I can use the QMS API to enable/disable tasks and it seems if I can enable/disable step 1 then I'll get what I need.

So....can anyone please give me a completely Noddy explanation of how to use the QMS API to enable/disable a Publisher taks?
