Communication between firewalled networks - What ports are required for communication?

Hello,

Below is the environment I am setting up for a production deployment.

Can someone tell me what ports I will need for cimmunication between networks?

Each Tier is on its own network and is firewalled. I know I need 4747 from presentation to application tier, but I'm a bit confused as to want ports I'll need to open from the data tier to the application tier. Also, what ports I'll need to open to allow QlikView desktop to interact with publisher.

In Qlikview Server Reference Manual CAP 10 "Service by Service" you can see the ports comunication the service use.

Wow, what's the interesting configuration! Never saw such before!

As it follows from the documentation it's necessary to have the following ports opened: 80, 4780, 4747, 4774, 14747, 161, 4720, 4721.

Is it necessary to open them at all tiers then?

It will really depend on what you want the QV Desktops to do outside of the firewall?  Will they just be using Applications on the network or will they be building QV Applications and will need access to the Database Servers also?  Also do not forget 443 if you are running SSL on your IIS Boxes.  Also will you be running QV Web Server or going to use IIS?
