Deploy QVW file from client side

My client don't want to manually copy paste application to the server machine each time he's developed/updated a QVW file locally using QlikView Desktop.

Is it possible to deploy QVW file on the Qlikview Server (which is on another machine) from client side.

Either through brower by opening access ponit or QEMC Or is there any other way to do this.

Thanks & Regards,

Sparten

The only way you can do this would be to save the file to the server from developer. I don't know any other way.

May be you can place the file in Sharepoint site and Task scheduler can run a job in such a way that developed file in sharepoint can be placed in QV mount folders.

This can be implemented where you have restrictions for developers to directly place the files in Mount folders.

Thanks for replies.

So as per the findings, we can conclude that there is no inbuilt functionality provided to deploy QVW file from client side.

You're Right, we dont have any built in options in Qlikview.

Oner option is please  ask client to copy that application in share folder and use the application for development activity from same folder.

You can access that shared folder from your qlikview server to deploy application on server.

Sunil, yes we can very well do some workaround like copying the application into share folder or having third party job to do this movement of file for us (as pointed by Karthikeyan).

I am serching for the feature which I found in another BI tool 'Panopticon'.

It's designer has functionality to publish report file on to the server.
