My server can't reload application with "LOAD INLINE"

I made a simple application:

test:

LOAD * INLINE [

test

toto

titi

];

I can reload this application without problem with the QV Desktop.

But when I try to reload it with the server, the task never stops.

I'm using QV server 11.0.11440.0 x64.

Does anyone have the same problem?

When I reload applications without "LOAD INLINE", I don't have any problem...

When a LOAD INLINE is scripted, Qvb.exe tries to write a temp file in the root folder (something like "C:\INLDxxX.tmp").

By default, a simple user can't write on the root.

If I give write access to the owner of the services, it works!

The owner of services is in "Qlikview Administrators" group, but is not a full administrator of the server.

But there is only on the "LOAD INLINE" where I have a problem...

Hi Nicolas Martin,

I've seen a similar problem when the server license was not applied correctly on qlikview server.

Have you applied the license on qlikview server ?

A successful message appears after the qlikview server license be applied correctly.

Hope it helps you.

Regards

My inline statement is OK.

I've done what you said, I also tried creating a new statement with the wizard, ...

It doesn't work when QVS reloads (but always works fine in QV desktop).

I have 3 servers with the same configuration: the same qvw file works on 1 server and fails on the 2 others.

I can't see what is the difference.

Does the owner of the services need special rights / access to make a LOAD INLINE?

(I don't know, access to a temp folder, ...)

Hi,

I have just tested this and it works fine for me.

I working on this case for hours, and I've just found something: if I change the owner of my "QlikViewDistributionService" to "root" (a user in both "Administrators" and "QlikView Administrators" groups), my LOAD INLINE loads fine.

If I use "qvadmin" as owner (only in "QlikView Administrators" group), LOAD INLINE doesn't work.

Is there a reason for LOAD INLINE to need local administrator provileges? (whereas other LOAD statements don't)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the documentation don't say that the ower of QV services have to be a local administrator (except for clustering matters).

When a LOAD INLINE is scripted, Qvb.exe tries to write a temp file in the root folder (something like "C:\INLDxxX.tmp").

By default, a simple user can't write on the root.

If I give write access to the owner of the services, it works!
