Monthly comparison with previous month

Hi i have a straight table with a month Year Field and count(Value) i then want to display another column which shows the varience of the count(value) with the count(value) for the previous month.

Please see attached excel spreadsheet..

I can hardcode in 12 months into a straight table with the varience but is there a more dynamic way of doing this?
