What do you mean by "reset". Do you mean to delete the contents?

Hi

Essentially I would want information only on new documents and not from inception.

Only way is to delete the logd.

Some clarity, please. Do you mean deleting the logs or opening the logs files to delete it's contents and what would possibly be the outcome of both.

Thanks

A good practice is to split the log files by day or week. This is controlled in the QMC pane System->Qlikview Servers->Logging, Split Files.

If you create a daily file you can delete the files you no longer want.

I suppose you could open the log files with a text editor and delete content, but I would be careful doing this in a running server.

If you delete the logs QVS will recreate them as new information is logged. You can also split them and write a batch file to move them to another location.
