Hi,

By default, it will look for all user in LDAP. is there a way to restrict only to active user ?

This is the LDAP object, 512 means active.

(userAccountControl = 512)

Thanks.

Hi,

The QVW which tries to load the data from LDAP loads only the partial data frequently. We are unable to find the root cause of the issue as the QVW doesn't fails but it loads only the partial data. Can someone please help us to identify the root cause of the issue. It has been happening from quite a long time but we didn't succeed in finding the root cause of the issue. Hope someone can help us for the same.

Hi nicksatch,

You can do this in document level.

You have to give permision to active user only.

Yes you are right, but it's more for the AD migration work, the users will be duplicated in the NTFS for each QVW.

but we had no choice as it's not configurable in QMC.

Furthermore, if someone is doing an usage statistic, make sure your extraction from ACL is excluding the new domain users. and for this it can be done at doc level.

But ideally it'd be nice to have it configurable in QMC.

Hi nicksatch,

No need to use both AD & NTFS simultaneously........

LDAP authorisation is only needed.

The Service account is what is being used to connect to the service and the only permission is "Read".
