How do I keep a Chart dimension in a locked state but not be locked

Basically I'm trying to simulate the same behavior you get in Set Analysis with the {1} which ignores selections. I would like to do the same with a Chart dimension.

But we all know you can do that in a Dimension field. Only Expressions. Detaching is not desired outcome.

Is there away to do this. Im using it in a Dashboard where I want the Chart to appear static or unnafacted by user selections in another tab.

Have you also checked the bar offsets etc?

You are just using a plain field as dimension? Then using the set identifier {1} in an expression should do what you want, unless I am missing something in your setting.

I tried that and it still alters it considerably. I have a Gantt Chart. Strange behavoiur.

Its based off of HIC's Gantt chart.

With an expression like this and one Simple Dimension See attached image

Duration:

Max ({1}[NM.Required Completion])-Min ({1}[NM.Estimated Start])

Duration label

interval(Max ({1}[NM.Required Completion])-Min ({1}[NM.Estimated Start]),'D') & ' days'

After selecting three.
