Drag and Drop from IE to excel benefits?

All, I know you can copy an object to excel, but what are people using this for? What are the beneifts?Very curious

So, as far as i know, none of my workmates ever uses the export function to excel. I can´t see any benefits there, too.

But the export-function to powerpoint is used very often. You can show qlikview-objects in a normal presentation, without the need to switch to the qlikview-app. This is easier for the speaker and the viewers are mostly impressed by this interactive object in presentation.

I have been curious about this subject too and I have developed an Add-in for Excel which allows the data from the QlikView objects (dragged into your worksheets) to be automatically sent to Excel cell ranges for further manipulation and analysis.

I hope this will add more value and benefit to the drag-and-drop to Excel feature and would be interested to hear any views.
