Files and Folders don't show up while using "Open in server"

Hi

When I use an "Open in server" feature with my user which is a domain admin, I can see full list of my QV documents and folders , but when I'm trying to do the same with various other users , they see only a small portion of files and folders .

I've checked  those folders security permissions  on the server ,there is nothing that prevents users from accessing/seeing  them.

What possibly could be the problem?

Hi Costa,

I think it would be also good to check on the QMC the Authorization tab of these documents to make sure the users are allowed to see them and if the folder is ticked as "Browsable" under System/<Server>/Folders tab.

Hi and thx for your suggestion, checked all the things you have mentioned, still no good..

QVS checks the NTFS permissions on the files (QVW)  and section access if applied to see if the logon user has rights to open the file. If they do then QVS will show the user the files. You can check this by looking at the secuirty tag when you check the QVW property security.
