from my server logs I know EventID 108 only as Information: "Document ... was loaded". So IMHO this alone does not yet indicate an error condition. Any other information?
I checked old support mails of my colleague and saw thet we had a rather similar scenario (with 8.2 though) with freezing after a 108-Event in the Events-Log, but some minutes later there also was a 112-Error "Total memory exhausted"-message - and that was in fact the reason. Perhaps that could be a trace ...
