.shared file

Hi All,

I am currently facing an issue. I have explained the issue in detail below.

There is one application which I have distributed to the accesspoint based on company (i.e., it is distributed like XXX AE, XXX APAC, XXX EMEA, XXX Global & so on). In this only XXX EMEA and XXX Global files alone shows like "No Preview available" image in Accesspoint portal. When we tried to open the application it throws an error "File corrupted".

I have checked in forum and got few solutions like "Delete files (.qvw,.meta & .shared) in accesspoint folder & distribute again". But still the problem exists.

As I deleted the shared files when I again distribute the files the shared file is not created again.

Kindly help me to create the shared file for that application again and how to resolve the file corrupted error?

Please help me in this.

Awaiting for your solutions.

Thanks,

Leni Balakrishnan

The shared file would only get created once someone has opened it at access point. But in your case the application itself doesn't open.

I am not sure about the reason for corruption, but try renaming the app and open it locally.

Thanks,

Vikram

Hi Leni,

The reason for the files being corrupted will be investigated...but the restoring of .shared files is only possible, if you are able to open the documents from Access Point. Only .meta files are being created after Loop and Reduce method.

Once you start accessing the apps from Access Point, .shared files will be created.

Is everytime, those particular set of QVWS get corrupt or it is random? If it is particular set of QVWs, you may need to check the particular field (where EMEA, Global are), if the field data is creating problem.

Hi Leni,

Kindly perform the below steps and check wtheter it's working or not.

1. Try to open the Qvw file of reporting folder using qlikview client. If you are able to open then open the file save it and then close the same. If you won't able to open the file then delete the file(including meta and shared file) from reporting folder and redistribute it.

2. Once distribution is done please try to open the report in accesspoint. Once the report will get open the shared file will automatically get created.

NOTE:- Before distributing the report please open the source document manualy and close it after saving the file.

I didnt get the point you mentioned in the note.

You want me to open & save the source document which is going to distribute to the Accesspoint folder?

Thanks,
