QV11 BUG(?): Failed to retrieve settings from QlikView Server.

Hi,

After installing the GA release of QV11, we're getting the following message when trying to access the QVS properties in the QEMC:

"Failed to retrieve settings from QlikView Server.

Make sure that the QVS is available with the correct credentials.
"

Please note:

- We're using local account to  run the QV services. This account is a member of "Qlikview Administrator" and "Administrator" groups.

- previous release was completely removed before commencing with the GA installation

Any idea's?

Hi All,

I was also got the same error, for your kind information the software should not be used in the same server where you domain controller is installed....it was strogly recommeded by qlikview support that your meachine should not be a part of DMC meachine.....this is inforamtion i've received from support...i'am working on it..i will update once the issues is fixed

hi all the above issue is resolved, we have uninstalled the software and deleted the instances from the folders like programme data and its all child folder and check is there any other registry entries struck up, if so remove those as well.......

let me know guys if you are facing the same kind of issue on the same

Si, necesita cuenta de administrador local, de administración de qlikview para que puedas tener control.

Encontré un documento en el que explica cómo se pueden asignar los permisos mínimos necesarios para levantar los servicios sin tener que darle permisos de administrador al usuario que los levanta pero esencialmente es lo mismo, siempre suele ser problema de permisos ...
