Alerts not working

Hello

I've got QlikView server for Windows server 2012

I've setup the SMTP mail server in management console and the test email was sent successfully

Now I added an alert to send email whenever a task fails; however this is not working

any idea why?

Yes why when a task fails the alert doesn't work?

it is available in the management console; I configured mail server and was able to successfully send test emails
