Qlikview WebServer and IIS Server: No Server in AccessPoint

I have a Qlikview Webserver "WS1" that is internal with Full Installation and another server "IIS1" in DMZ that is installed with IIS only.

The ports and firewalls are opened up between these 2 servers.

I have set up the IIS App Pool and changed the Config.Xml  in IIS1 server to point to WS1. When I opened up AccessPoint, I got MESSAGE: NO SERVER

The log within Web Server showed that it failed to connect to server.

10/15/2013 17:25:29.9578542 Warning Fail Connect to: WS1

Please share your suggestion on how to resolve the issue. Thank you

I finally got AccessPoint to load the dashboard and connected to the QVS server properly.

I got a NEW problem. When access a document using IE PLUGIN from external of the network, I got Tunneler Error. Ajax works fine.

When I access a document using IE Plugin from inside the network, the dashboard works fine.

There is a document that posted by Bill (Installing Tunneling on 2008 server with IIS ). I followed every steps, verified the tunnel work and added the linkmachine name. That still does not resolve the issue.

Please share other suggestions that could help fix this issue. Thank you

Hi,

The Plugin doesn't go through the webserver, so you will need to NAT port 4747 in the firewall to point to the QVS server. That should get you going. If you can't open 4747 from the outside and want to use the plugin you will need to setup tunneling. The Document explains how.

I did follow the document and set up the Plugin. Tested and got this message with http://localhost/scripts/qvstunnel.dll?test

It still does not work. Is there more to it?

Bill,

We do not NAT directly port from outside public to internal network Webserver (WS1); however, we DID NAT the IP address of the DNS to the server in DMZ (IIS1). We then assigned AssignedLinkMachine, but still does not work. Do you do have other suggestion?

Take a look in this configurations:

If need your servers understand the hostname like pingh host (from dmz and internal) and ping host (from internal to dmz).
