Hi folks,
I want to run QlikView Management Console reload job with the help of a batch remotely.
Can you let me know if it is possible pls. If possible, pls post a solution.
Thanks in advance!
Surendra
What is it you want to reload? Schedule a document reload? If so you don't need a batch file for that. If you want to restart the service then that's easy to do with a batch file.
Hi Koursh,
We have a different scenario. Our Business users want to refresh the qvw from their machines.
The qvws are hosted on the Server and I've created refresh job in QMC on server.
Also note that QlikView desktop is not installed on their machines and they dont want to install it either.
We want provide the power to users to refresh the qvw remotely and check the Report in Access Point
So I'm looking for an option if I can run QMC job remotely.
Thanks.
I believe there is an action command you could assign to a button called 'Refresh', which will refresh the document when called. You'd have to permission Refresh in the document security options, and it won't work in AJAX.
Thanks...but do u have any piece of macro code for doing so.
Hi,
Make them a document Admin and then they can open the QMC and do it from there.

Hi Brit,
I tried opening QMC from a different server where QMC is not installed.
I cant see the tasks on the page. It is opening as below.
e
I've admin rights on the server and I'm part of QlikView Administrators, Document Adminstrators.
pls let me know if I need to make any additional settings to see the tasks remotely.
Thanks,
Surendra
In looking at the image, I would say something isn't correctly setup. It appears you are only a Document Administrator, but you have been given not rights.

I think you have to set up the correct security on the mounted folder also.
Another solution would be to use EDX task.
