Plugin 8.5 - Drag & Drop to Microsoft Word Problem

Hello,

I'm trying to 'Drag & Drop' QV objects from my QVW files that I am displaying through the QV server, on to Microsoft Word on my local PC (via the plug-in).

When I drag & drop an object, QV attempts to authenticate and the 'Connect to Server' appears.

I select use 'NT Identity' and select 'Open'.

After selecting open I get the following error:

"Connecting to Server Ok, No reply Received. Switching to HTTP tunneling. Connected to server ok, Negotiations Timed Out"

Has anyone seen this before? and Does anyone know how to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Adrian

this behaviour has been already reported to QV support by other community member; Qlik view support has determined that this is a bug, this was their response:

When I look in the manual, it states:

Sheet Object Drag and Drop to Microsoft Office

Sheet objects in QlikView can now be dragged and dropped straight into

Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. This feature works for

local and server QlikView documents and from installed QlikView and

QlikView IE plug-in alike.

The objects retain their interactivity, which

means it is possible to do live QlikView analysis in e.g. PowerPoint. Simply

select an object and drag it to the Office application to use it outside

QlikView.

Note The QlikView IE plug-in must be installed on the computer where the

Microsoft Office document is used.

There's no information in here that claims that a registered version is required for this to work.

At the same time, this works just fine in Word, unregistered Plugin, so I believe that this is a bug.

Let me compose a bug report and ship that of to Quality Assurance to get their take on the problem.

Try to upgrade to 9 (you'll learn to know newer bugs than this old one ;-).
