Installing Qlikview Server

I have a question about installing a new Qlikview Server. Now we have 1 server, but we are creating a new server, with the same license.

Will it give problems by applying the license in the new server. Can the old server do its work while installing the new server?

If you run both of the servers with the same license and on the same subnet will you run into problem and the services shut down due to the fact that the license already are in use. You will also risk seeing problems connected to having more then one active mgmt service.

My recommendation would be to have a talk to your sales rep and get a test license to use on the new server until you ready to make the switch.

The new server is not on the same subnet, but a full remote server.

Will that give problems too?

I think you will be good to go then. Just don't forget to shut the old one down as soon as possible so you not breaching you QlikView licence conditions.
