Text Area

Hi,

I was wondering if we can devise something like a editable text area in QlikView where user could enter any text. I tried it with an input box but it only shows a single line of editable area whereas I want a multi-line editable area.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Abhinava

There's an extension available: Free Text Box Extension Object. That should work fine in the ajax client (and in webview in QV Desktop).

You can use the browse icon at right side of inputbox, which pops up a expression,

here you can enter multiline text easily.

Otherwise you have to use extension object for the same

Hi Abhinava,

I think for this QlikView Notes is available(which is multiline) where user can write any thing also take images and share with the person whom He/She wanted to share by using collobrative session(Share Session).

Hi Abhinav,

You can use the standard functionality available on QV server.  The Notes option allow people to make notes on each chart and also captures updates provided by others as well.  This is a functionality available only on QV server and hence it works only when the file is accessed from Access Point.
