Qlikview services(QVWS, QDS AND DSC showing as disconnected)

Hi,

I have installed qlikview 11.0.11440  in windows 2008 64 bit server, when i started the services from services, all services are started and then i applied the license and restarted all the services. All services are showing as started in services(services.msc) but when i open the qlikview management console only 2 services qms and qvs are showing as connected and rest of 3 services(qvws, qds and dsc) are showing as disconnected.

Can any body help what could be the issue?

Hello Nusum,

From looking at your description, once you applied the licenses on the QlikView server, its not necessary to restart all the services, the QlikView server will automatically restart itself. What I would suggest is firstly trying to restart all the services, and if this does not help then please try to (at least log off the server) or restart the server itself.

Please mark as useful if this helps.

I have run into a similar problem when a server's name was changed and all the references to servers in the QMC still referenced the old name. You might want to check all the server references (dont for get the DSC reference in the QVWS properties)

Hello,

I'm not sure if you had already fixed this issue. please check the following

on QVMC ->System->Setup->expand Directory Service connectors and choose DSC@Servername ->Set a user name and password (you can use your LAN credentials)

This will make the DSC service on QVMC to be UP.

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks.

Try changing the server name to localhost and see if that will get you going.
