I have downloaded the java client from http://qlik.com/mobile on a HTC touch HD with WM 6.5.
i want to try it on the demo file in the qlikview site, i leave the standard option, but when it try to connect to the server an error appear: "Protocol negotiation failed".
Here my option:
Server: demo.qlik.com
Directory: mobile
x Connect via Http
x Connect via Socket
Port: 4747
Dpi: 120
PS: Sorry for my bad english
Now it work!
the only change:
Server: http://demo.qlik.com
I also get this problem but inserting http did not fix the problem. When I first installed the applet a couple of weeks ago, it worked fine. I've reinstalled it a few times since but cant get past this error. Has the server moved?
When I look at the debug info I see:
Connection succeeded
Com open
Server not found
---------------
Switching to tunnelling
---------------
Is anyone out there an expert?
Sorted now. It seems the mobile applications now sit at http://demo.qliktech.com
Does anyone now if you need to have QV Server/publisher 9 to be able to publish documents so the mobile client can access them?
Hi,
You do not need a publisher, but you do need a server.
If you want to use the "Mobile Directory" option you will have to create a folder in the root folder of your QVS called "Mobile".
