QlikView and iPad

Good morning everyone

I just want to make a junction between Qlikview (windows platform) and iPad(Apple)

Although Qlikview doesn't run on Windows platform(only on virtual machines over mac, for instances) I would like to know if the dashboards i make i can receive or view them on an iPad?

Is it possible?

Maybe this can see a start for a lot of people that has the same issue...

Thanks everyone for your time spent on this thread.

Hi José,

You can visualize QlikView dashboards, indeed, using the Ajax client, as easy as placing the document you have developed in the corresponding server folder. To open that, open Safari in iPad, go to the AccessPoint URL, log in with your credentials, then tap on the document you want to open.

Hope that helps.

Hi, Christian.

The information Sudeep has provided you is good advice. It may be worth mentioning that I think QlikView.Next which is coming out later this year will offer more functionality around using QlikView on an iPad.

Having produced a few QlikView apps for iPad users, the most successful ones have been those that have the look and feel of other iPad applications. For instance, if your sheet holds more objects than can fit on an iPad (and you cannot split onto a separate sheet) bear in mind users prefer scrolling up/down rather than left/right. If it is difficult or uncomfortable to navigate with your fingers it will not be popular.

Neil

Thank you Neil, for theses advices.

I don't know yet if the project (or idea) will be led to final term but I'm gathering informations about.

Best regards
