IE Plugin

Pros

  • Users can resize screen to fit
  • Users can run macros
  • Close fit to desktop view of document

Cons

  • Plugin has to be installed on each client
  • Plugin has to be uninstalled & reinstalled when server is upgraded
  • Extension objects not available
  • Only supported for IE not other browsers
  • Session collaboration not available

Ajax client

Pros

  • No installation at client
  • Extension objects can be used
  • Session collaboration
  • Notes and annotations
  • Supported on various browsers

Cons

  • Screens cannot be resized by users
  • Object positions and size can vary compared to desktop client
  • Macros not available

If you do not need macros, then the Ajax client has more functionality for systems using v11 or later.

Besides, the main CON about the Plugin is: the Qlikview.Next version will not support it anymore. I think it's better use it from now.

I'm sorry for my english,

But I think that it's better not to use IE plugin, because it seems that with Qlikview.Next (or Qlikview v12) there will be not support for this plugin.

Besides, if you use the AJAX interface, will be the same on any browser, even mobiles...

It's my opinion,

Regards!
