Can't launch the I.E Plug-in Version (but no problem with the Ajax one)

Hi,

It's the first time I'm installing the QlikView Server V9 with Publisher.

I've added a new qlikview file, I've made a distribution tasks to publish it. Now on my new Accesspoint I see my file dedicated to my first user (that is to say me 😛 ).

But I've a strange problem : I can open my qvw in Ajax : no problem, but with Internet Explorer Plug-in nothing happens : white screen and "finished" written in the IE status bar ?? With the Java client, it says I can't open it because of my security configuration.

So do you my IE plug-in problem is a security problem ? If yes, what can I do to solve my problem ? If not do you have an idea ?

Best regards

It normaly comes due ti IE security settings.

Check if all active x controls are enabled for your IE.

Go to Tools-> internet options-> security->Custom Levels.

See if it solves your problem.

Hi Bertrand,

If it is a small business server I dont think the AJAX version of the applications can be opened with this type of server license.

Kind Regards

Hi Bertrand, as was mentioned, probably it is a security issue, could you check the following:

To reset the security settings back to default:
Open IE7 and go to Tools - Internet Options
On the tab Security select "Reset all zones to default level"
On the tab Programs, click "Manage add-ons" and make sure the Qlikocx is enabled
On the tab Advanced select "Restore advanced settings"
Restart IE7 to apply the changes in the client side ...

Good luck Gabriel

Thanks all,

But I don't manage to make it works anyway.
Is someone have a precise list of which security option must be set to allow the IE Plug-in usage ?

Thanks

Are you trying to open the application locally on the server on from another workstation?

Micorsoft AD or Novell/Microsoft environment?

Windows 2008 server or 2003?

Tried disallowing anonymous?
