Username and Password by accessing accesspoint

hi guys,

I have a accesspoint to access my server. I have a distribution task in my publisher where I am a Recipient in the task Management. I am using Qv8.5

My question is when I am opening the internet explorer and calling my accesspoint

http://10.27.34.77/accesspoint

sometimes I get a Username and Password and sometimes not.

What can be the reason?

Thanks

Sravan

We have users outside of our domain, how do you set up "fake" AD users?

I dont understand the problem.

ya the message at the down is local intranet. The users who are sitting in the same place as me can access and Open the accesspoint.

someusers who are also in the Intrazone and sit at another place( I donno whether I can say another Domain) can access and some can't. I rechecked the users, who cant are also in the Distribution task assigned.

Is the " Enable Integration authenfication " in the security tab of the Tools-->Internet options-->Advanced tab? sorry I have a German version.. It says there "Integrated windows Authenfication aktivitated" does u guys mean that checkbox???

Thanks

Our users that login on their computers to the XYZ.com domain have usernames in our ABC.com domain (QV server is located in ABC.com). Then we have a VPN tunnel between our networks.

So if I am user XYZ/Joe12 I have another user account in ABC.com. This username I have to use once, and that is the first time I want to access the accesspoint, then by making sure the settings are as discussed above IE won't ask for credentials again. Then I use the usernames the users have in the ABC.com domain for access rights.

just to be clear, do you reach the accesspoint and don't get to open any documents, or don't you even reach the accesspoint?

Hi Guys,

I changed from this IP address to Servername as it is recommended by the Basis in my company.

http://s003.../accesspoint/

Now the thing is... When I access this page at my client it works.. but when I try to open the Qlikview Application in that Accesspoint, there is also a link which is based on the IP address as I wrote before like http://10.27.34..../accesspoint/. Now I want to change this to http://s003.../accesspoint/

where can I change this in the server?

Thanks

Dear all, we have the same issue of authentification reported by Sravan. I understand this has to do with the "integrated windows authentification" IE option.

Nevertheless, this is a problem because you cannot assure this IE option has the right value. I mean, the user can change it. The problem comes when a user has changed the value in a PC and a new user uses the same PC -> the second user won´t be prompted to be authentificated and would be logged as the first one!! Don´t yu see a problem here?

Is there any way to "force" the logging, regardless of the IE settings?

Regards,

Julio.
