QVS error in validation of QDSSettings object failed

Hello,

I'm facing  the below error trying to set authentication mode to DMS:

"An unhandled error occurred.Validation of QDSSettings object failed: QDSGeneral.ClusterInfo must contain at least one item."

I also tried to change some other settings for the QVS but I got the same error message.

What it means ?

Can someone help me to fix it ?

Attached the print screen.

Currently I'm stuck...

Many thanks in advance.

Best Regards

I solved installing QMS service also on the QVS machine.

For any change request on QVS I have to use the QMS on that machine.

I hope this will help you.

Andrea

You didn't have the QMS before? how did you install it?

Currently I have 2 QVS each one in different server and 1 QVP on other server.

So I thought to install QMS only in the QVP server but in this way I got the error above.

Therefore I tried to install the QMS also on QVS server and using that I'm able to make any change for QVS settings.

Hi,

I know this an old post, but I'm facing this issue right now, and according to my experience I think that agigliotti‌ is right, you need to install QMS in the machine where you're having trouble modifying the QVS settings. In other words, you can install 2 separate/independent QVS nodes and then mount them to a single QMS (Management Console). However, if you need to make changes in the second QVS (the one that is not installed on the same machine where is the QMS) then you'll have troubles editing QVS settings, UNLESS THESE 2 QVS NODES ARE CLUSTER ENABLED BY YOU LICENSE LEF.

So when working with independent/separate QVS nodes that are not cluster enabled, the only workaround seems to be installing QMS in the Second QVS, and then changing the settings you need to modify for that QVS.

Also another thing to mention is that 2 different QMS cannot make reference to the same QVS within the same network, because it will cause that the node becomes unstable (similar to what happens when you try to enter to a app in accesspoint with the same CAL at the same time in 2 different devices),

hope this helps
