Greetings,
I have an environment where I have 2 separate QlikView Servers running.
1 is a Test Server and the other is a Production Server.
I however only have 1 QlikView Management Console running and I manage both Servers from the sae console.
My problem is that when I try to add a Named User CAL using QV User Manager (from Power Tools) it adds the CAL to both servers.
Is there anyway that I can limit it to a particular server?
I used PowerTools 1.1 to test and according to the release notes for 1.2 there is no change that will allow me to specify what QVS to apply the CALs to.
Thanks.
It seems like there isn't a solution for your problem, even in the brand-new Power Tools 1.2 for QlikView. QV User Manager lets you configure the QlikView Management Service but from there on it automatically finds all attached QlikView servers.
Maybe if you start two QV Management services and configure two User Managers, each with it's own configuration file. But then you'll have to disable management of both installations from a single QMC...
Hmmm, maybe you can ask this question in the PowerTools 1.2 discussion or suggest an improvement to Stefan Bäckstrand?
Best,
Peter
Hi Peter,
Thanks. So I was not missing something.
Will suggest this as an addition for Powertools 1.3
