AccessPoint Issue using Reverse Proxy

Team --

We have exposed QlikView over the internet via Reverse Proxy.

We have used a single machine configuration primarily for demo purposes i.e.we have installed all the Qlikview components as well as IIS on the same server.

While accessing the Access Point URL internally within the corporate network, we are able to see the Qlikview Reports published on the server.

However while accessing the same from internet, I can see the Accesspoint web site but it hangs with the content loading message.

We are unable to resolve this issue. It would be great if we could get any pointers to help resolve this issue.

Thanks.

Hi Joseph,

I don't know a lot about RP(Reverse Proxy), but the hanging with content loading is cause by your user information isn't being passed. I know that there is a RP setting to make RP do this.

Thanks Bill, do you know the actual setting in RP to help resolve this issue. Is this due to a double hop problem or perhaps related to Kerberos on the internet facing web server ?

I read somewhere that Reverse Proxy settings by default authenticate using a hash of the password, hence the first server can authenticate the user against Active Directory, but cannot reuse the same credentials to impersonate the user to the actual internal IIS web server where Qlikview is hosted.

It would be great if anyone could provide some pointers in help resolving this issue.

Thanks

Hi ,

Is your problem soveld? if so, please share with me.. as

I am very new to QlikView(I dont even know anyhting), but I got the requirement that, I need to access reports in QlikView. Users will login into my java based portal application, as soon as userlogged in, user will be authenticated and SSO token will be created.

With SSO token, what is the best way to access QlikView without validating/authenticating user credentials.

And one more thing is, our QlikView server sits on AWS.

Please reply me,a s I dont have much for this, hence requesting the help.

Thanks,

Ram

Hi Joseph,

We are facing this issue too.

We implemented authentication with web ticket and it was working before exposing the server via Reversed Proxy.

Thanks,

Arthur
