How to do a Wildmatch for more than 100 lines?

Hi All,

I am sitting with a problem. I need to do a WildMatch for 3000 lines of data... But the WildMatch function only allows 100 lines?

Please does anyone have a way to get around this problem or maybe another function that i can use?

Added an Example with notes in the Script

Hi Stefan,

If I may ask, why are you wildmatching that many values? Would it not be better to load an excel or .txt file with the value you are widmatching to and then use applymap() to get the desired result.

Having that many wildmatches is going to be a maintenance nightmare

Cheers,

I agree with Byron

What do you want to do ? Just wildmatch because you love that function ?? Or sth for your user ?

Tell us what you wanted to achieve before thinking to wildmatch: there is perhaps sth simple...
