Builtin Image doesn't show on button

Hi,

I have tried to add an builtin image unto a button using a formula that I have learned on the designer course.

However it doesn't seem to work, as I merely get the text rather than the image.

In the first Picture below you can see the calculation and the button on the far left that should show the builtin image from Picture 2. - please advice

Thansk in advance

Hi Martin,

You can add an image to a button using "Image" option in the background section instead of "aqua". Have you tried using that?

Hi

AFAIK you cannot change the background image of a button. The expression is for the text of the button only.

I'm not sure but it looks like Button can take only external images by selecting the background as Image.

But text objects can take built in images. You may use Text objects instead of Buttons.

Might be useful for you..

You can't show Image on Button

Use built in image in button TEXT.

Hi Martin,

I prefer to use the text object instead of button in the scenario of showing built in images or conditional based images.

Because in button we can use only the external image as background (Static) where as in text we can do whatever we like to do based on the condition.

Hope this helps!

Yes Text Objects can take expressions with condition.
