Hyperlink a part of text in text object to a report in container

Hi,

I am having two columns in a table say

a. Report name and

b. Report description

The Report name column contains the name of the reports available in the report and the description column with the description of each report. All reports are placed in a container

The two columns are used in two text objects and the description text objects displays the description of the report selected in Report text object in sheet 1.

Now i need to have a hyperlink from the description text object to the report in the container object in other sheet.

Please suggest

Regards,

Santhosh

Hi All,

It is not possible to open report in a container.

In alternate, I removed the container and using button and variable implemented my requirement.

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for your help.

But my requirement is to jump to another tab/sheet in same report and open the report placed in a container of the sheet.

Hope you got this.

Hi,

Not see the document I am not sure if this will work for you are not. I have seen people make small transparent buttons and place over  the item. See attached

I would use a button and remove the formatting, to make it look like a text box, and then do an action to activate a new sheet, or open a link, Like in Bill's suggestion.

Hi,

There is no event or function to activate the chart in container,  what you can do is you just make that chart as default by clicking the chart and save.  So, whenever this sheet is opened then you will see that chart in container.

jagan.

Hi Jagan,

Thanks for ur reply.

Your solution works when there are only 2 charts in the container.

But i am having around 20 charts and I need the dynamic change as per the selection made in previous sheet
