accessing QVD from other reporting tools

We encounter some limitation in building reports by QlikView. Would it be possible for other report tools to access QVD? Or we could only find a way to export QVD data to external staging database for further process?

QVD Files can only be read by Qlikview

You could store the QVD into a csv
