unable to authenticate using reverse proxy using windows AD

- Qlikview server 11 with NTFS authorization

- Qlikview web server authentication: always, NTLM, default login

I am working with the network admin to configure reverse proxy so that users can access qlikview docs from internet using IPAD. When I try to connect to qlikview, it hangs at "loading content" and below is the info from my web server log.

Any ideas or procedures?

Its possible that the Reverse Proxy that you are using doesn't support NTLM challenges and so isn't passing those from the QV server through to the desktop browser, so while the content flows through the security bit is stripped out.  For example if you have a RP based on Apache then this can be the case.   In a lot of cases an RP is used in conjunction with an SSO system that also handles some kind of web based authentication too, in these case the RP would pass a HTTP header through to QlikView which can then be used to sign users in.  Apache does support Basic authentication but you would then need to enable that on the QV server and secure it with SSL as they go over the wire in clear text (i wouldn't recommend this way forward)

The only RP that i know of that supports NTLM is Microsofts TMG (formally ISA) product which while very simple to set up is less common for edge security products.
