Can you append data to an existing excel worksheet from QV?

Here's my goal:

1. Extract data from a excel worksheet into QV

2. Do transformations and then append data to the same excel worksheet

3. Refresh Pivot Tables in excel

What about

1. link Excel dynamically to a .txt-file
2. do the upload from Excel or Text
3. make your transformations and - in vers 9 - save to .txt
4. have your Excel setup to refresh on open
