Your answer is helpful  to understand the incremental load in different way but i want to the record in same scenario.

e.g. i want to update pname if already there in .QVD

Open help: type "Incremental", there are 4 diffrerent techniqes to do that ( They work only for small tables, if You're expecting to load 1TB be prepared to implement your own solution )
