"Too many Document CAL assigned"

Hi All,

I've installed QVS that has 5 CALs and 10 Document CALs.

I've assigned 7 users to one document and after that we've un-installed the server and re-installed it again.

We've changed the document name and would like to assign 10 users to the 10 Doc CALs

as we're doing so we're getting the message "Too many Document CAL assigned" .

I've searched on the posts in the community and didn't found an answer to this case...

I'll appreciate your help on this issue.

Hi,

I've changed the "Number of CALs allocated to this document" to 0 and pressed "Apply" button and I'm getting a message box "Now Loading...Please Wait" and nothing happened.

Any idea ?

No sorry

Ive just checked on mine and it worked fine. We had one spare and it changed the totals as it should. When I changed to 1 and then back to zero

Are you using Chrome or IE?

I get the same message in Chrome, but this works fine in IE.

Hi David,

You may try to clear the license, this should remove all assigned CALs. This means everything will be cleared, so any assigned Named CALs will be removed too. This will also remove the full QVS license, so you need the Serial number and the Control number again.

Go into QMC > System > Licenses > QlikView Server > QlikView Server License. At the bottom of the screen, there should be a button saying "Clear License".

All CALs should now be reset, but remember to add the QlikView Server License again with the Serial number and Control number.
