Hi

Below is for windows 2008

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer

Event log

Session log

Performance log

If you have publisher:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1

Here you will find logs with datetime stamps and tasks

Hope it helps

Hi,

We are using publiser, hence am cheking in below path

C:\ProgramData\Qliktech\DistributionService\1 but nothing is there.

But if I will check path \2 then some logs are there but files are more. Hence how I need to check where the issue is coming.

Bindu

Can you please check memory status of the server where Distribution Service is running?

Are there any other background task like scan or update process in the Server that is consuming more CPU than other?

If you have access to your Server then you can

Go to Task Manager to see if any process is consuming 80 to 90 % of Memory and CPU

You can check the Disk size and available Temp space on the disk drives.

These activities are usually done by Admin folks.

One quick question.

What type  of Tasks are not initiating? Tasks having Reload option and not having distribution option or All kinds of Tasks having both the options.

Hi Bindu,

Has the amount of data increased?

Could be that you have hit a limit in the QMC.

When did this issue occur?

What version of QlikView are you running?

Regards,

Erik

I am having the exact same issue.  About 12 hours ago all tasks stopped running.  I have restarted the services and the machine but I haven't had any luck getting tasks to fire again.  I can't even reload manually from QMC.  We are on Qlikview 11 SR5

You can do this:

- stop all services;

- backup directory programdata\distributionservices;

- delete the directory DistributionService;

- start all service, the tasks will be recreated;

- play again

Do you have many tasks? More than 100? Do you change password of Qlikview Services Account?

Hi,

Where are your app getting data from? Maybe your odbc data source changed and the odbc needs some change also.

Run the application outside QMC to see if you get any error.
